Boreholes
In 2008 SwiZimAid and the mission department of the Salvation Army startet a project which financed ten boreholes in different regions of Zimbabwe.
On our trip through Zimbabwe in May 2009 we were able to visit the first of these boreholes in Bulawayo.
We also had the opportunity to see another area where a further borehole will be installed soon. This area is so dry that the kids coming to school from the villages around have to bring their drinking water with them - most of it is not clean water though (see picture with girl). The borehole will be set up between the school and the church, supplying all people in the area with drinking water.
